This Family Council model differs from all other management styles in that it is a meeting where God’s Spirit is invited to be with the members of the family. The Family Council considers family administration, issues of routine family maintenance and family life mission tasks of physical and spiritual consequences. Therefore, the agenda is divided into three parts: Welcome & Administration, basic Family Maintenance functions and Family Life tasks. A standard Family Council Agenda form is linked with referenced forms in this tab.The basic agenda explanation includes ideas from our life to stimulate your thinking. After working with this agenda for a while, you may want to modify it to meet your needs. As outlined earlier, you can not cover all agenda topics at each meeting but they should be referenced at least once a month.
Welcome and AdministrationCall to order, welcome family, outline general agenda items to include opening and closing prayer, reading of minutes, review of family mission and goals (optional) and review of weekly (monthly) calendar to include logistical and communication planning, activity support and transportation.

Family Life Tasksevelopment and support of self-reliance and growth of individual members, learning the joy of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and service others, and developing family ties with living and dead through family history and genealogy activities.
